“Let’s Talk Turkey”
Talking Turkey is a slang term for talking straight or honestly about something. The term originated from the “chit-chat” that happened around the Thanksgiving dinner table. I imagine that the relaxed atmosphere of sharing turkey and giving thanks, created conversation that was authentic and based in love. So it makes sense that the conversation at Thanksgiving would create its own meaning to be shared throughout the year; Talking Turkey.
So for the month of November – the month where turkey rules – we will “talk turkey” about Truth Principles. Are the external demands of life drowning out the voice of your inner wisdom? Do you hear the Internal Eternal Wisdom whispering your vision, but the marching band of life makes it almost impossible to here? Do you need a reminder of the Truth of who you are? Do you need a refresher of how Spirit works through and as you? How high is your gratitude meter? Gratitude is the bed of which all Truth Principles lie.
We are at a perfect time, NOW, for opening to greater expressions of our Divine selves. For two thousand years, November 1st has been New Year’s Day. Originally the Celtics, and now many other philosophies honor the mid-point between the Autumn harvest and Winter hibernation. It is the time when the veil between worlds is the thinnest and trained psychics are hired to communicate between the living and the dead; to give advice, messages of love or fortune.
We at CSLP are taking the month of November to honor the gifts of what has passed and step into what is new. This work must be founded in gratitude, so we created a 40-day gratitude journal. Four, forty, four hundred are all documented times of transformation, i.e. Noah being on the ark for 40 days to Moses wandering the dessert for 40 years. We have our own transformation available by using the 40-day gratitude journal. If you have not received a journal, please call the office for yours. It is never too late to start this practice.
Join us this month as we “talk turkey” about Truth Principles, how they work, do they work, and are we working them? As Mary Baker Eddy stated, “Prosperity, can be achieved but it is not the highest form of prosperity until it is shared.”
Sharing the Truth Principles is guaranteed to prosper our lives beyond what we thought possible. I look forward to sharing one of my most favorite months with you.
Always in gratitude,
Rev. Josephine
